It’s time to crack out the graphic tees and spike your hair, because Blink-182 are releasing new music. We’ve known for a while now that a new album is coming from the iconic pop-punk band, but it’s been revealed that we’re getting a taste of what’s to come much sooner than expected.
Posting to their Instagram yesterday, the band seemed to tease new music for the first time in forever. Suspicions were proved correct when the new track, Blame It On My Youth, dropped a few hours ago.
Blink-182 have just dropped their new track Blame It On My Youth, the first single from their upcoming eighth album. Listen to it now.
The photo of a graffitied wall with the band’s name and the track title Blame It On My Youth also featured the caption of just “Tomorrow”. Well, just a few hours ago, the band uploaded the new tune to their IGTV and all music streaming services.
The track harkens back with plenty of the features found in ’90s and ’00s pop-punk, plus a touch of synths. It also comes along prepackaged with a graffiti styled lyric video for your viewing pleasure, which you can watch below.
The album, which is set for release before Warped Tour kicks off at the end of June, is allegedly a bit “darker” and “weirder” than some of their more recent stuff.
Whatever they’ve got in store for us, you can get your first taster below. We’ll let you judge it for yourself…
