Georgia talks musical evolution from childhood tape recordings to the freshly released ‘Euphoric’ album
Hailing from the UK, the remarkably talented artist Georgia has recently unveiled her latest album “Euphoric,” highlighting her multifaceted abilities as both a musician and a skilled producer and songwriter.
Promoting her album in Aus, Georgia dropped into Happy to talk about her creative journey, dads who buy life changing gifts, and the indescribable joy of of smashing out a song in an hour.
Georgia’s upbringing was steeped in music, thanks to her father’s affiliation with the iconic 90s electronic band ‘Leftfield.’ This environment naturally paved her way into music, and her musical destiny was pretty much sealed when she got her first four-track tape recorder at the ripe old age of 9. That little machine ignited her creative spark, and she started experimenting away in her bedroom.
Her foray into Logic at 19 marked a pivotal step, and by her early 20s, she was crafting her own music. An illuminating moment in LA with Rostram produced the album’s first single, a spontaneous blend of drums, bass, and vocals that encapsulates the record’s essence.
She’s already pretty well known for her earlier work, especially the awesome “Seeking Thrills,” which established her as a big deal in the UK music scene. She’s even collaborated with big shots like Gorillaz, Olly Alexander, and Shygirl, which just shows how much influence she has.
Leaving her bedroom behind, Georgia found new inspiration collaborating with Rostam in LA, which allowed her to redefine her artistic identity. “Euphoric” symbolises her emergence as a distinctive left-field pop artist, stepping out from behind the mixing desk.
Georgia’s story is one of evolution and exploration, from childhood tape recordings to a collaborative masterpiece. “Euphoric” doesn’t just mark an album; it’s a testament to her journey and growth as an artist.
