ocean alley interview

Australian alternative psychedelic rock band, Ocean Alley has come a long way from their humble beginnings on the sandy northern beaches of NSW.

Ocean Alley has just dropped album number four, Low Altitude Living, which sees the band bring their widest range of euphonious sounds yet.

Musically, the band’s evolution has evolved from the “cruisey psych, rock and reggae fusion” the band has become known for. Giving fans a reflective album, that feels to be deeply rooted in the red earth of their motherland, entwined with the firm footing they have found on an international level. In particular with the latest single Home, an ode to running to where the heat lies.

In between splitting time a fair bit between the road and recording, Radi caught up with the band to discuss the madness of the last couple of years.

Ocean Alley is Baden Donegal, Angus Goodwin, Lach Galbraith, Mitch Galbraith, Nic Blom, and Tom O’Brien. The band is set to play Lost Paradise, and Pennyroyal Plains in the lead-up to the new year where they will be hitting two stages at the Falls Festivals, and the Heaps Good Fest.
