Introducing Record Fair Live, a monthly celebration of live music and vinyl in Newtown

If you’re free this coming weekend, get yourself down to The Bank Hotel for Record Fair Live; a day celebrating live music, vinyl and inner west culture.

With a beverage in hand you’ll have the opportunity to soak up some of Sydney’s best acts at one of the city’s best loved venues, all as the sun goes down.

The monthly Record Fair Live is free to enter, all in the spirit of supporting the local music industry and our collective love of vinyl records.

The event comes to us courtesy of a dope new collaboration between Young Henrys, The Bank Hotel and The Sydney Record Fair and is set to be broadcast live by community radio station 2SER. Last month hosted Los Tones and Nick Nuisance and the Delinquents, and this weekend will feature Godtet and Dive Bell.

In a statement to the media, GM of The Bank Hotel Dave Mills has shared:

It’s about three local community groups in the inner west coming together to give back to something that provides us all with so much in our endeavours. Live music is a big part of what we do and we want to highlight and capture the sound of the area we live in.”

The best thing about the Record Fair Live is that the event is set to be a continual monthly occurrence. At the end of the year, The Bank Hotel will be pressing a compilation record featuring one song from each event’s headliners.

Kicking off at 4pm and running until 7pm, this Saturday cannot come fast enough. Oh, and there will be drink specials on offer from the legends over at Young Henrys.

Grab all the details here, and keep an ear to the ground for next month’s edition.
