Kanye West and Jay-Z’s Watch the Throne is getting a follow-up, according to Kanye

In 2011, Kanye West and Jay-Z came together to create their chartbuster collaboration Watch the Throne, and the world has never been the same since.

During West’s The Life of Pablo tour, two years ago, he insisted that a Watch the Throne 2 would never see the light of day.

Kanye West took to Twitter yesterday to create absolute chaos in the music community with one of his signature short and elusive tweets confirming the collaboration and follow up to Watch the Throne.

It’s safe to say the news comes as a shock as the artists have expressed some pretty public beef with each other over the past few years. But considering Kanye is involved, are we really that surprised?

Both the rappers have been pretty outspoken about their ongoing conflict with each other. The 2020 presidential candidate claimed Jay-Z had hitmen out for him at the 2016 VMA’s, and Jay-Z has made a fair few references about the clash on his most recent album 4:44.

Watch The Throne saw seven hit singles dominate the music scene back in 2011 and the brand new collaboration is sure to have some tasty jams on the track list.

Both Jay-Z and Kanye have had a massive year when it comes to iconic collaborations.

Jay-Z joined forces with wife and queen herself, Beyoncé, to release their much anticipated album collaboration Everything Is Love. Kanye West also linked up with Kid Cudi for their joint album, Kids See Ghosts.
