King Crimson announce huge new 50th anniversary reissue series

It’s been 50 years since King Crimson first jammed in a London basement. And to celebrate their gold jubilee, the band have announced a huge new 50th-anniversary reissue series.

Included in the new series will be a vinyl box set, a concert documentary, an international tour, and much, much more.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of King Crimson’s first rehearsal, and to celebrate, the band have announced a massive anniversary reissue series.

The announcement comes in a new post on the website for Discipline Global Mobile, the label run by band member Robert Fripp. As part of the announcement, King Crimson are set to head out on a huge 50 date tour across three continents.

In February, a new 6-LP vinyl box set titled King Crimson: 1972 – 74 will be released. The set will include new vinyl reissues of Larks’ Tongues in Aspic, Red, Starless And Bible Black, and USA and more on 200-gram vinyl.

In the Court of the Crimson King is also set to get its own limited-edition box set this October, which will include an expanded multi-tracked version of the band’s 1969 recording sessions, new live recordings, and a 5.1 remix of the album.
