As he approaches the tail-end of a year spent touring and recording, Lior will cap 2018 off with a bang.
In December, catch him performing in a one-off concert alongside longtime friend and collaborator Nigel Westlake and the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Momentum Ensemble.
Lior, one of Australia’s most celebrated performers and composers, will cap off 2018 with a one-off performance alongside the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Momentum Ensemble.
Lior will premiere Leaving the Western Shadows at the Seymour Centre in Sydney on December 13. The concert, which derives its name from one of the artists biggest hits, will feature orchestral arrangements from a personally curated list of Lior’s most celebrated songs.
The Australian Youth Orchestra’s Momentum Ensemble is a collection of young musicians each on the cusp of their professional careers. Leaving the Western Shadows will give these performers the opportunity to experience orchestral music-making beyond the realm of a traditional music hall.
Lior is one of Australia’s most-loved performers, best-known for his songs This Old Love, Daniel and I’ll Forget You. His first album, Autumn Flow, was released back in 2005 and received critical acclaim for being one of the country’s first entirely independent albums to achieve commercial success.
The album set the artist off into a successful career of recording, producing and composing.
Catch Lior and the Australian Youth Orchestra’s Momentum Ensemble perform Leaving the Western Shadows at Sydney’s Seymour Centre on December 13, 2018. Tickets are available via the Seymour Centre’s website.
