The Chicks (fka The Dixie Chicks) have released their first album in over 14 years, Gaslighter. After being famously cast aside in 2003 for speaking out against Bush and conservative politics, the band have come together and re-launched themselves as Country’s reigning Queens. Diligently interweaving elements of pop in their sound, their producer, Jack Antonoff (best known for his collaborations with Lorde and Taylor Swift) has given their extremely personal, slick and sophisticated lyrics a refined finesse that only legacy-bound albums possess.
