Melbourne Museum is opening its doors to Lanks, CLYPSO and more this weekend

The end of the year is approaching and the temperature is rising, which can mean only one thing; it’s dancing season! And what better way to celebrate than with a raging dance party at the Melbourne Museum.

On Friday November 2nd, Melbourne Museum will lead you into the warmer seasons with Nocturnal; a delightful dance party featuring a stack of your favourite artists.

Lanks, CLYPSO, Adult.Films, and DJ Susan are all hitting up Melbourne Museum this weekend for an irresistibly danceable instalment of Nocturnal.

Heading the November instalment of Nocturnal will be electro-pop wizard Lanks, who’ll be bringing with him his signature concoction of addictive melodies and rhythms that’ll leave you no choice but to get up and groove.

Over the past number of years, Lanks has built himself as one of Australia’s best and most exciting electronic artists. Now, fresh off the release of his latest album twentyseven, Lanks is set to lay down a spirited live set at the iconic museum space.

Joining Lanks will be a catalogue of dance music’s finest, including the infectious, tropical sounds of CLYPSO, Melbourne alt-R&B outfit Adult.Films, and the always incredible DJ Susan (Becky Sui Zhen).

On top of all this quality music, you’ll also be able to enrich your mind with a series of palaeontology-themed talks. In her only Australian public event, Dr Lindsay Zanno, Head of Palaeontology at North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, will be sharing a set of incredible series in the Museum Theatre.

Nocturnal is not your average party. It sees the museum transform into a paradise of great tunes, great food, open bars, and discussions. If, for whatever reason, you haven’t already nabbed yourself a ticket, we recommend you immediately rectify this mistake.

You can grab yourself a combined lecture and gig ticket here.
