Pixies have announced the release of their a box set, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut releases, the full-length Surfer Rosa and mini-LP Come on Pilgrim.
The new Pixies box set will also include Live From the Fallout Shelter, a live concert that first aired on WJUL-FM Radio in Lowell, MA in late 1986.
Come on Pilgrim… It’s Surfer Rosa will come as a triple-vinyl or triple-CD set, while limited edition clear deluxe vinyl will also be available. The latter will come packaged with a clothbound, hardback book featuring lyrics and additional art.
The standard CD and vinyl editions are set to be released on September 28, with the limited edition clear deluxe vinyl set to follow in November.
Following the release of the box set, Pixies are due to play a string of anniversary shows at London’s Roadhouse. From October 30, they will perform a five-night run where they will play both Come on Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa from start to finish. All dates are sold out.
