The Pixies are gearing up to release their sixth record, Head Carrier, late next month and have this morning announced that they’ll tour Australian shores next year to celebrate.
The legendary Boston alt rockers have announced they’ll return to Australia next year as part of their Head Carrier LP tour.
This will be the first time for Australian’s to witness newly-added bassist Paz Lenchatin on stage with the band , having played with them as a touring bassist since 2014.
Unfortunately for some fans, Pixies will only be stopping by the east coast this time around, beginning the run of dates at Brisbane’s Riverstage on 2 March and heading to Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena on March 4th and Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion March 7th.
The band were last here for their Doolittle tour in 2010, meaning this will be their first time playing for us Aussies since 2014! What a gas.
