It was last August, with the release of their single Ain’t Slowin’ Down that we first introduced to the blistering rock n’ roll sounds of Brisbane outfit Whisky Grinn. They belt out a brand of music that’s hard-hitting, but charmingly so.
Now, with the release of their new (incredibly titled) single Fuck Gucci, they continue to build themselves as one of the most exciting emerging acts in Aussie music. If you’re not already familiar with this band, we strongly recommend you change that.
On their new single Fuck Gucci, Brisbane-based outfit Whisky Grinn present an unapologetic attack on mindless consumerism.
Throughout the new single Whisky Grinn belt through their signature blend of rock, blues, and funk, crafting a sound uniquely their own. With chaotic guitars, thunderous percussion, and flailing vocal hooks, Fuck Gucci is bursting at the seams with uncontrollable rock energy.
An unapologetic attack on consumerism, the new single pulls no punches in its message. The band shoot out lyrics like bullets, and their layers of instrumentation build into something truly epic.
Fuck Gucci is taken from Whisky Grinn’s upcoming EP Welcome to the Boomtown, and judging by the quality of everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes.
