Råhypnos’ new video for Blood is simultaneously beautiful and unnerving

Since forming back in 2015, Gothenburg based duo Råhypnos have been building upon their unique and immersive brand of music. Made up of Pablo Rautenberg and Nadja Virgé, the two-piece weave together such a broad range of genres, it’d be pointless trying to ear them all out.

Now, with the release of their new video for Blood, the band continue to establish their penchant for crafting dark, idiosyncratic electro-pop gems.

On their new video for Blood, Gothenburg based duo Råhypnos deliver two minutes of captivating visuals that you’ll be unable to rip your attention away from.

Throughout the new track, Råhypnos glide through a captivating blend of electronic, folk, alternative rock, and gothic to deliver a sound that belongs entirely to themselves. With droning, woozy instrumentation and haunting vocal delivery, Blood will seep into your bones and stay there for weeks.

Blood came to us as lightening from a clear sky and was written in only two days. The song is about how the sun can shine even in misery and how it simultaneously uncovers the shatteredness of everything,” the band say of the track.

There is something naked and oblique about the song that appeals to us; it’s uneasy yet beautiful.

Blood is taken from Råhypnos’ album Do We Want It? which is available now.
