This October marks the inaugural Aussie instalment of Cassette Store Day, spearheaded by the good folk at Rice Is Nice Records. October 17th will see a slew of killer Aussie bands reissuing their albums in cassette form, plus a whole bunch of events taking place and retailers getting involved in all things tape.
To kick things off, Rice Is Nice will be throwing a party on Cassette Story Day Eve (Friday the 16th) at Waywards in Newtown, featuring local Sydney acts Zeahorse, White Dog and Us The Band, who will all be featured on the forthcoming RIN Mixtape Vol. 3.
