Selena Gomez shares an eye-opening documentary, Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me along with a new single to accompany it.
Selena Gomez has unveiled a new documentary on Apple TV+ titled Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me. Produced by Lighthouse Management and Interscope Films, the hour-and-a-half-long documentary covers Gomez’ “six-year journey into a new light.”
It sheds light on a range of difficult experiences had by the Lose You to Love Me hitmaker, including mental and physical health issues, body image struggles, heartbreak, and the downsides of being a public figure.
The new documentary has launched in tandem with a single release of the same name, My Mind & Me. The evocative, melodious tune follows a similar theme to the documentary, unveiling personal life struggles: “My mind and me, we don’t get along sometimes and gets hard to breathe, but I wouldn’t change my life,” sings Selena Gomez during the heart-igniting chorus.
Discussing the new documentary with Entertainment Tonight, Gomez says: “In a weird way, I feel like it is a time capsule of things – a period of my life where I look back, and I actually feel bad for that version of myself.”
The actor and songstress continues, “I think that it was good for me to see how I was responding to my body, the way that I was acting and the way it was so irrational in moments, and I think it was really healing for me to see that and get it out.” Stream the documentary via Apple TV+ here.
