Leisure Coast heroes Shining Bird have finally graced us with their lush new single Rivermouth.
The six-piece had holed away in the mountains to write and record for their upcoming sophomore album, following on from the much loved debut album Leisure Coast and EP Shade of the Sea.
Speaking of the single guitarist Russell Webster says, “I’m sure Rivermouth could be symbolic of many issues, both personal and as a human race. But, what I started to realise was how it also reflected the nature of the creative process itself. Leonard Cohen reckons “If you stick with a song long enough it will yield”. Even if it takes a decade to write. I’m glad we stuck with this one”.
