Sun-soaked melodies and a name change signal a vibrant new era for Sunsoli’s musical journey.

With guitars that shimmer like the sun dancing on ocean waves and melodies that float through the air like a warm coastal breeze, Sunsoli has dropped their latest single, ‘Time & Place.’

But that’s not all – there’s a whole new chapter in their story with a name change to reflect their growth and musical harmony. Say goodbye to The Sea Gypsies, and hello to Sunsoli!

The Central Coast upstarts, formerly known as The Sea Gypsies, embarked on a journey of rebirth and renewal, searching for a name that symbolized their coastal roots and artistic evolution. They found their answer in Sunsoli, a fusion of ‘sun’ and ‘soil,’ encapsulating the essence of their musical journey and connection to nature.

Lead guitarist Dan Hoolihan and keyboardist Joseph Smith came together to pen ‘Time & Place,’ a heartfelt reflection on leaving past anxieties and wrongdoings behind, inspired by the birth of Dan’s son. A poignant reminder that life’s missing pieces can find us in the most unexpected ways.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Sunsoli is also gracing us with their debut, self-titled album. Enlisting the expertise of acclaimed producer Jack Nigro and collaborating with coastal singer-songwriter Ashrae, the band delves into the interplay between light and emotions, conjuring nostalgia and setting the perfect ‘time and place’ with their mesmerizing tracks.

Sunsoli’s musical palette is a vibrant spectrum, ranging from energetic and sunny morning vibes in tracks like “Sunlight,” “Wayward,” and “Where We Left Off” to the tranquil and nostalgic tones of “Dancing Slowly” and “Some Kind of Light.” Tracks like “In the Middle,” “Daydream,” and “Caught in a Moment” beautifully bridge the gap between these emotions, immersing listeners in a world of colors and feelings.

With an album this radiant, Sunsoli is set to embark on an East Coast tour, spreading their musical warmth from Wollongong to Sydney and beyond. Fans can expect to experience their favorite indie-rock darlings up close and personal, sharing the magic of ‘Sunsoli’ live and in person.
