The Doors are one of the most innovative and influential rock groups of all time. The quartet consisted of vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robby Krieger, and drummer John Densmore.
They released six albums in five years via Elektra Records, some of which are considered to be amongst the greatest in history. Produced by Paul Rothchild: The Doors (1967), Strange Days (1967), and L.A. Woman (1971) boldly feature the crooning voice of Morrison, whose onstage antics became the stuff of legend at the time.
A controversial figurehead of the counterculture movement the band dispersed after Morrison's death in 1971 at the age of 27.
