Perth based garage rock outfit Thee Gold Blooms’ new single Nothin’ Surprises Me is an infectious, blues infused track navigating the paranoia and worry that love can often induce.
Reaching beyond its fun, sun-soaked surface, the jangly new song is about lying awake in bed through the early hours of the morning, “worried about your sweetheart,”.
That being said, if these catchy hooks don’t put a smile on your dial, I don’t know what will.
With their vivacious new single Nothin’ Surprises Me, Thee Gold Blooms will be a ray of sunshine in even the darkest and dingiest of moments.
The single follows the band’s 2015 debut self-titled album, maintaining their reputation for delivering fun, doo-wop style pub sing-alongs.
With Nothin’ Surprises Me, Thee Gold Blooms make you wanna wrap your arm around your buddy’s shoulder, clasp your beer in the other, and belt out their lively, garage-born melodies with all your best mates.
Nothin’ Surprises Me marks the first taste of Thee Gold Blooms’ upcoming second LP, due out in 2018. If these happy-go-lucky ranch vibes are anything to go by, it’s a release we’ll be eagerly awaiting.
If you wanna see Thee Gold Blooms’ new single played live, you can do so at their Nothin’ Surprises Me single launch tonight at The Sewing Room, Perth, alongside Abacaxuva, The Ohmy Days and Surf Rabbits.
