As they prepare for their new album, Violent Soho have released the music video for their single Like Soda. Back in October, Violent Soho members Luke Boerdam and James Tidswell talked to triple J, revealing that the album was “over halfway” done and that they’d be finishing it off in the studio during November.
When chatting about their track Like Soda the boys said: “We decided a few years ago we’re going to take our time with records from now on [but] we got one song done so, hey, let’s release that one.”
The band took over Bardon Bowls Club to shoot the clip, as they bombarded a retirement community to let loose. Playing lawn bowls, snorting prescription medication and doing anything they can to disrupt the usual peacefulness that a retirement community has. Violent Soho collaborated with director Dan Graetz to create the short film for their single.
You can catch Violent Soho at Laneway Festival 2016, for more information visit their socials.
