The Live at Enmore team recently welcomed local favourites Julia Why? to the studio. The band delivered a hypnotic performance of Starman, which appears on their newly released record Hysteria!
The trio eased into the session with a relaxed sense of charm and effortlessly delivered a moody, ethereal slice of washed out garage pop.
Sydney favourites, Julia Why? took the Live at Enmore studio with style, unleashing a vivid and dreamy performance of their recent released single, Starman.
Dripping in reverberant riffs and underpinned by steady grooves from the bass and drums, the forms a perfect backdrop to the dramatic lyricism.
In reflecting on the track’s inspiration, frontwoman Julia Wylie noted:
“The song Starman is about going mad,” and further, “when you’re feeling really vulnerable, finding people around you or people that exist in the universe, that give you some strength, and David Bowie was that person for me.”
