Still upset about the cancelled LCD Soundsystem tour? Fill the void with this epic new live set

LCD Soundsystem recently stopped by Austin City Limits to play a live set. Thankfully, that set is now available online for your viewing pleasure.

“We’ve never really done anything quite like this before,” James Murphy said of the performance at the beginning of the set. Murphy and the gang played a whole lot of material of their most recent album American Dream, as well as a collection of classics from their legendary discography.

They may have cancelled their upcoming Australian tour, but you can still get your LCD Soundsystem fix with this entire live set.

American Dream was recently nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2018 Grammys, though the award was ultimately taken out by The National’s Sleep Well Beast. LCD did however win their very first Grammy for Best Dance Recording with Tonite.

The Brooklyn band recently cancelled their upcoming Australian tour with Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), which was scheduled to be taking place this month. The tour would have been their second trip to Australia within a twelve month period, having headlined Splendour In The Grass 2017.

Recently Austin City Limits have seen performances from Father John Misty, Run The Jewels, and Angel Olsen. You can watch clips from LCD’s performance below, or watch the entire thing right here.
