Hiroshi Kondo, a Tokyo based filmmaker, specialises in mind-warping scenes of urban environments and the people that inhabit them. Multiverse is a stunning slice of the time lapse filmmaking that somehow manages to highlight individualism in a mass of humanity.
You won’t be the same after watching Multiverse by Hiroshi Kondo. It’s a dizzying view into the chaotic yet ordered streets of Taiwan.
The film depicts the rush hour of scooter traffic in Taiwan. At times, the fast moving multitudes are overwhelming to the eyes, then a moment of stillness as the camera seems to magically focus on ever changing individual riders.
The video is accompanied by some particularly immersive and emotive music and sound design by Himuro Yoshiteru.
