Sydney’s OKENYO was the most recent guest at the Live at Enmore studios. Accompanied by percussionist Catriona Hunter, she dished up an energetic and soulful live version of her track, Your Side.
Keeping it stripped back, the duo was armed with an SPD each, while project mastermind Zindzi Okenyo topped off the track with a sultry, intimate vocal performance.
OKENYO recently came through the Live at Enmore studios. She delivered a stunning performance of Your Side, which features on her brand new EP, Solo.
Before plugging in for the recording, OKENYO talked about the meaning behind the song:
“This song Your Side is pretty much about the feeling of waking up next to a lover. That’s it really, it’s nice”. No doubt a sentiment we can all appreciate.
