Every week, we’ve been opening our doors and inviting in some of the country’s best acts to perform live studio versions of their tracks… and this week we were stoked to welcome in Brisbane four-piece VOIID.
We’ve been digging VOIID for a while now. Over the past couple of years, the Brisbane based four-piece have released an incredible EP and a string of consistently great singles… so we had them over to lay down a live version of their most recent single Twin.
Before they hit up Hey Sunshine Festival this weekend, we invited Brisbane four-piece VOIID over to lay down a live studio performance of their track Twin.
“The meaning of the song is, in minimalism, is that if you’re ugly, who gives a fuck?” The band say of the track.
“There’s so much expectation, especially being a female or female identifying person, is that there’s just an expectation of being pretty and clean and smart, and all these things. And the song pretty much means that if you’re not that, who the fuck cares?”
