After a huge career at triple j, Mornings presenter Zan Rowe has made the decision to move over to Double J, leaving some big shoes to fill. Zan has been delivering triple j Mornings for the past ten years, spending thirteen years with the station total.
She is no doubt, one of Australia’s most celebrated voices in music and her presence on our airwaves will be very sorely missed.
Zan Rowe leaves triple j to bring a new voice to sister station Double J, after a career spanning over a decade with the station.
In response to the ABC’s announcement, Rowe offered her own voice to the decision:
“I’m so honoured to have been given the chance to discover and share my favourite music with you guys. As I close the door on this chapter, I open the next, and wander down the hallway to our sister station to kick off a brand new Mornings show… It’s time for a new dream job and I can’t wait to discover and share the best new music with you on Double J.”
Although triple j may never be the same again, rest assured Zan Rowe is just stepping over into the next door office and her contribution to Australian music is far from over.
