Today in King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard news: the band have shared a pretty dope time-lapse of their longtime visual collaborator Jason Galea working on the cover for their upcoming LP Murder of the Universe.
The last record from Gizz, Flying Microtonal Banana, dropped this February. On the same day the band took the opportunity to announce Murder of the Universe, the second LP in their proposed five album sequence for 2017.
Want to get into the brain of Jason Galea, the visual mastermind behind King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard? Here’s your best opportunity yet.
Utilising digital software for the artwork’s concept before hand-painting it in his studio, the clip is a great insight into Galea’s process. 200 hours is a long time, probably longer than King Gizzard spent writing the whole damn album.
