Frightened Rabbit announced yesterday that they will be releasing a full length record titled Tiny Changes: A Celebration of The Midnight Organ Fight on July 12th. A homage to their 2008 record, the record is chock full of covers and celebrity collaborations.
Indie folk artist Julien Baker leads the fray with her hallowed rendition of The Modern Leper. A past collaborator with Scott Hutichison and the Frightened Rabbit crew, Baker’s verbed out synthetic take on the track shines. A second cover of The Modern Leper appears on the record courtesy of Biffy Clyro, as well other covers from an all star line up of The National, Chvrches, Manchester Orchestra, Sarah Silverman and more.
Frightened Rabbit celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Midnight Organ Fight with a cover record featuring Julien Baker, Manchester Orchestra and more.
Recorded in 2018, the release of Tiny Changes comes just over a year after the passing of frontman Scott Hutchison. According to a statement released by the band, Hutchison played an integral role in bringing the cover record together as well as bringing to life the concept artwork for the final release.
The record’s namesake is the charity that has been set up by the musician’s family which focuses on education and awareness of mental health in youth and children.
The first two singles off Tiny Changes can be heard below and CD & Vinyl can be pre-ordered here.
