Never ones to disappoint, Alpine have released their lush new single Shot Fox. Along with this release comes a dreamy video directed by Tristan Jelleh, that delves into the subconscious of front-women Phoebe and Lou.
Singer Lou James said of the track “The title Shot Fox refers to old Australian slang ‘grinning like a shot fox’. In hunting, even when a fox has been killed their facial expression remains happy and smug. So in times of heartbreak, rather than being defeated and serving the sadness, the song is about being triumphant in your ability to move on without regretting any of it because you’ve come out of it the other end now grinning like a shot fox.”
To celebrate the release of Shot Fox, Alpine have also released that they will be playing a couple of launch shows, that will kick off on October 22 at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, and then see them move on to Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on October 29.
