Hermitude recently wrapped up a massive world tour, riding a wave of momentum generated by their 2019 album Pollyanarchy. The live dates saw the pair hit Asia, North America, New Zealand, and of course, Australia, leaving a satisfied wake of fans wherever they touched down.
While they were nice and close to home at the University of Wollongong, photographer Dougal Gorman was there to snaps some pics. Him and a crate of Martell Blue Swift.
Go backstage with Australian dance duo Hermitude on the tail end of their 2019 world tour, as told by photographer Dougal Gorman.
Hermitude’s performance was flanked on the night by Haiku Hands and Boom Child, who had the crowd spinning well before it was go time. UOW has a reputation for some particularly wild shows, and this particular shindig was no exception.
The duo, comprised of Luke Dubs and Elgusto, have been kicking crowds into gear for over 15 years now. Their live show has been whittled down into something that’s straight-up dangerous, a gleeful concoction of iconic dance tunes and their fair share of dramatic, live-only moments.
For those wanting to catch Hermitude in the flesh this silly season, you only have two options remaining; NYE In The Park in Sydney or Party in the Paddock near Launceston, Tasmania. Grab all the details here.
Until then, peep the rest of the shots below.
