SXSW Sydney is the gift that keeps on giving, revealing an addition to the lineup, our fav WA band South Summit.
Still buzzing from their full Triple J rotation, the Perth-locals South Summit will be performing 2 showcases across the festival.
This just continues to add to their accomplishments, including Triple J Unearthed ‘Artist of the Year’ finalist and feature artist as well as multiple festival appearances, such as Groovin’ the Moo and Falls.
Already with a music career that is rapidly growing, South Summit are looking forward to the iconic festival, usually held in Austin, Texas.
They will be one of hundreds of future stars who get to showcase their talent to individuals from all parts of the world.
The list includes plenty of homegrown artists such as These New South Whales, Adam Newling and Lime Cordiale as well as international artists like Adoy (Korea), Flyana Boss (United States) and Grrrl Gang (Indonesia).
This ties in perfectly with South Summit’s personal backgrounds. They are proud to represent their different cultures and demonstrate how music unites people, regardless of where they’re from.
Following their South By South West performances, South Summit will continue their trailblazing with a major AUS/NZ headlining tour for their EP ‘Tales of the Yeti’. The EP explores the individual experiences of the quintet.
