Soundwave boss AJ Maddah has started dropping hints at his plans to make the 2016 incarnation of the rock festival. Taking to his Twitter account, Maddah revealed that he planned to have fewer bands on the lineup but with each act playing longer sets. As a result, it seems the quick 30 minutes sets are now a thing of the past, with the focus on bigger bands playing more substantial time slots.
For everyone asking, we will no longer to 30 min sets at SW. It’s all about better bands and longer sets. #SW16

@matthewsmith510 that’s what we have atm allowing for super long sets by headliners.

It looks like the proposed changes will seek to also stop any timetable clashes, which has caused issues for the festival in the past. Already confirmed for the festival is metal mainstays Bullet For My Valentine. To stay up to date on all the Soundwave news keep your eyes glued here, or just follow AJ on Twitter.
