The next edition of our magazine is right around the corner, and of course, we can’t launch a new mag without throwing big ol’ free party to celebrate. Today we’re stoked to share the first set of artists who will be playing the Happy Mag Issue 13 Launch.
Join us once again at the Marlborough Hotel in Newtown, Sydney for a big night on Friday, December 13th. Here’s who you’ll be seeing on the Marly stage.
Another huge free party is on its way. Check out the first round of artists playing the Happy Mag Issue 13 Launch.
Headlining the event will be Wax Witches, laying down their first live set since 2016. Alex Wall and co will be performing tracks off the band’s first two records, Celebrity Beatings and Centre of your Universe.
Also joining in on the party will be Syndey alt-country legends Caitlin Harnett & The Pony Boys. Pegged by many as one of the best live bands in Sydney, we can’t wait to see the group perform live in a couple of weeks.
On top of all this, making the trip from Newcastle will be Dave. With a new Steve Albini-produced single fresh under their belts, the group will be bringing their infectious brand of garage rock to the Marly in a couple of weeks’ time.
Then, just in case this wasn’t enough, Australia (the band, not the country) will be taking the stage, as will local legends Lionel.
Issue 13 will mark Happy Mag’s inaugural Outsider Issue, featuring cover art by Australian artist Abdul Abdullah. If you head along to the launch you’ll be able to grab a free copy.
