The Ruminaters are a garage rock four piece who formed in Sydney in 2013. The outfit consists of Pencil (vocals/guitar), Teddy (drummer), Jarleth (bass), and Jake Mossop (lead guitar).
Their 2014 debut album I Hate The Ruminaters introduced a unique blend of garage rock, indie song-craft and Pencil's quirky story-telling. Their 2016 follow up EP, I Used To Hate The Ruminaters, Now I Like Them, released via The Sunball Machine, featured hit single Mr. Bubbles.
Their second LP Welcome To Flight: S.U.N 91, produced by Rob Brinkman, proved to be the bands last as in 2019 they announced the The Ruminaters were to be reformed as Le Shiv. There are currently no signs of The Ruminaters playing again.
