Since translating the experiences of his year-long travel journey onto a record, Max Fothingham made the move from Belgium to Melbourne to further his artistic pursuits. Here, Amber Isles was born and now they are eager to show Australia what they’ve created.
As a five-piece ensemble, their debut album, Running, was produced and recorded in a DIY garage-sound booth. Along with Fothingham, the combined talent of Adam Heath, Peny Bohan, Tim Shue and Alex Cooper is truly mesmorising. Now, they’ve announced an Australian tour that will carry on though the New Year.
Don’t miss the chance to experience the cathartic culmination of lucid tunes and refreshing instrumental pieces from their debut album, Running during their Australian tour.
From their debut album, the title track, Running, is seven and a half minutes of nebulous vocals, effortlessly buoyant beats all tied up with a vivacious guitar solo. The Game sounds like a song from the ocean; rippling guitar chords and reverberating percussions, which culminate in the end like crashing waves.
Starting from the first of December, Amber Isles are spreading their uplifting sound across Victoria, NSW, SA and Canberra. Their tour will consist of at least eight gigs that cross over the New Year.
