Blur’s Graham Coxon tackles male suicide on new track, Falling

Blur’s Graham Coxon is making a shoutout to mental health, recently announcing a new track in support of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) as an ode to his friend, and songwriter Luke Daniel.

The track titled Falling was written by Daniel before he ended his life last year, after suffering an endless battle with chronic pain.

Available digitally and in a limited 7″ edition through Parlophone Records, Graham Coxon’s Falling sits on the record beside a version of Luke’s original recording.

Part of the proceeds from the track will be donated to award winning charity CALM which dedicates its work to preventing male suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK and Coxon’s goal is to directly inspire those affected by the epidemic.

With three in every four suicides being male, Coxon hopes to bring together friends and families from around the country and raise awareness for CALM’s awesome work so far as they address the issue of male vulnerability and crisis.
