Catch The Cure’s 40th anniversary performances with concert film box set

Iconic English rockers The Cure have announced they will be releasing a box set that features two live shows from their 40th-anniversary celebrations last year.

40 LIVE – CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY will come with 4 CD versions of the concerts on Blu-ray and DVD versions.

The Cure have announced 40 LIVE – CURÆTION-25 + ANNIVERSARY, a box set made up of live recordings from the band’s 40th-anniversary celebrations last year.

Both of the films were shot by longtime collaborator with the band Tim Pope, who directed a number of their music videos including Close To Me, Lovecats and Lullaby.

The first film will be CURÆTION-25: From There To Here | From Here To There, performed at the Royal Festival Hall on the last night of Meltdown Festival which lead singer of The Cure Robert Smith curated. Their set featured songs from each of their studio albums in chronological order, which then made their way back again.  In the middle, the band played a couple of previously unreleased songs It Can Never Be the Same and Step Into the Light which came out in 2016.

The second film ANNIVERSARY: 1978-2018 Live In Hyde Park London has previously been screened at cinemas after being filmed in July 2018The set featured the greatest hits of the band including Love Song and Just Like Heaven.

The box set will be made available on October 18 via Eagle Vision.
