If Newtown’s Bank Hotel was Santa Claus, they’d be putting everyone on the nice list, gifting us all another month of irresistible live music.
The Bank Hotel is located right next to Newtown station. With their live music space Waywards recently all done up, December has never been a better time to soak up some local talent.
If you’re around Sydney this silly season, be sure to come along for one of the incredible live music events that The Bank Hotel has on offer.
To kick things of on December 5th, Mere Woman will be gracing the stage ahead of a 2020 album release. Immerse yourself in their eerie, dream-like sound and be sure to get there early for support acts Circus Variety Act and Repo Man.
On December 6th, get down for another free event featuring Wollongong singer-songwriter Stevan who will be bringing a lush and contemporary R&B sensibilties to Waywards. The event will also feature the likes of Maina Doe and Okkaido for what is set to be an incredible night.
Retiree will bring their synth-driven tuneage to Waywards on December 7th, supported by FOSHE, who will be playing live with RISSA for an improvisational set. This will be followed by an eclectic DJ set by Sydney’s Andy Lowe.
The 13th of December will see Waywards be transformed into a dance frenzy when Egyptian Lover takes the stage, with support from Hugh B. and NAEEM.
Sydney indie-pop band Blue Velvet entering a new chapter of their musical ventures and are bringing the groove to Waywards on December 19. Get moving and hear other incredible sets from Denise Le Meniceand Chinese Takeaway.
