Big time INXS and Michael Hutchence fans rejoice! We have finally been given a first look at the new documentary Mystify set for official worldwide release on July 5th.
Directed by Richard Lowenstein (the Australian feature filmmaker behind almost every INXS music video through the 70’s and 80’s), the documentary promises unseen footage and a deeper look into Hutchence’s personal relationships and eventual mental degradation. After sustaining a brain injury from a fist fight in 1992, Hutchence lost his sense of smell and the difference in his personal demeanour was noted by many close to the singer.
Richard Lowenstein’s Mystify releases first trailer showing unseen footage of INXS frontman, Michael Hutchence.
What’s most intriguing about the documentary is the plethora of interview footage. Many guest speakers are included, including Hutchence’s former partner Kylie Minogue, U2 vocalist Bono, the living members of INXS and relatives of the singer.
While we’re still a month out from the official release of the documentary, Australian fans have been given early access to Mystify at the Sydney Film Festival, running from June 5th through June 17th.
