Ever wanted to hear The Philosopher’s Stone read by “the Boy who lived” himself? Well today’s your lucky day, because Daniel Radcliffe and a number of other stars are teaming up to give us a chapter-by-chapter rundown of the first book from J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter.

Available as both audiobooks and as videos, Dan-the-man has already treated us to a thrilling rendition of the book’s opening chapter, “The Boy Who Lived”. Highlights from David Beckham, Eddie Redmayne, and Stephen Fry are yet to come…

A roundtable of your favourite Brits are teaming up to guide us through all 17 chapters of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger’s first adventure.

Developed in conjunction with the Harry Potter At Home initiative, J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World Digital and the Blair Partnership created the series as a free way to add a bit of magic into lockdown. A new video/chapter will be released each week on WizardingWorld.com, with the audiobook component released over Spotify.

Intended to help out families during this time, the initiative also allows teachers to upload their own narrations of the series, for their students to access across a number of platforms.

“Look out for more famous faces and friends of the Wizarding World (and beyond!) to help us read through all seventeen chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone/Sorcerer’s Stone over the coming weeks,” the series’ website reads.

“You may notice some wonderful drawings representing the first chapter during the read-through. Look out for more artwork in every chapter and read below to see how you can get involved in contributing yourself.”
