Show Us Your Junk gift us a tour of Death By Audio

Get ready for some major music enthusiast bliss with Death By Audio, the Brooklyn-based pedal company beloved by rock stars worldwide.

Step right into the love nest of noise and distortion, Death By Audio. The Brooklyn-based pedal manufacturer has been producing innovative and versatile effects for almost two decades. Their pedals can be heard on albums by Nine Inch Nails, Wilco, Ty Segall, and many more.

On this Valentine’s Day episode of Show Us Your Junk, we join Death By Audio founder and A Place to Bury Strangers frontman, Oliver Ackermann, as he shows off his collection of broken Fender Jaguars and demonstrates some of the company’s early prototypes.

Ackermann and DBA’s Managing + Operations Director, Heather Bickford, take us through the story of how they met, the early days of Death By Audio, and their move to a new building in Queens where they continue to handcraft their unique effects. Even though the legendary DBA performance venue closed in 2014, the brand’s unmistakable influence on the music industry remains.
