Dreams is set for a VR expansion later this month

Upon its PS4 release in February this year, Dreams became an instant classic. Developed by Media Molecule—who are also the brains behind LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway—it broke new ground in player immersion, interaction across the gaming community and creativity.

The unique environment of Dreams seems to be made for VR, which makes the news that the game will be supported by the PlayStation VR platform in July all the more welcome. Be prepared to be immersed deeper than ever before!

Dreams is the groundbreaking title that straddles the worlds of gameplay and creation. Later this month it’s getting a VR expansion, making this world more immersive than ever.

The two main sections of the game include Dream Surfing—an environment for playing games that are created by the Dreams community and Dream Shaping—the workshop for creating games and sharing them with the wider community.

In its current form, the game is already a feast for the senses, but the VR expansion will give players the opportunity to literally inhabit the worlds that they create. The free update ships with new tutorials and kits to get you started on your new adventure.

The expansion will be available on July 22. For all the details, head over to the PlayStation blog and the Dreams website.
