Local hero and all around legend Le Pie is prepped to make waves in 2017. Her upcoming EP Sad Girl Theory is on the cards for May 26, and the two singles we’ve heard so far are prime cuts. We’re excited, and you should be too.
Which is why we asked Sarah to duck into the quarters at Enmore Audio for a cover of her choice.
Watch as Le Pie takes on Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 mega-hit White Rabbit, lending her voice to the unforgettable track 50 years after its release.
Previously we’ve had DARTS, Pretty City and Bec Sandridge into the rooms at Enmore Audio as part of an ongoing relationship we’re pretty stoked on. If you’re digging what you’re seeing you can be assured, this won’t be the last.
White Rabbit was released on June 24, 1967 by Jefferson Airplane, brought to the band by singer Grace Slick after her previously act The Great Society dissolved. Since then it has been taken on by countless bands, films and counterculturists as an ode to the power of imagination and the importance of human curiosity.
Le Pie continues the song’s journey with stunning bravado, a half century after it first reached the ears of the world. Watch her cover below.
