Early last year, Nick Burgmann, Lauren Dawson and Aleksi Monaghan united under the name Final Gambit in a Marrickville art studio. Though due to a variety of reasons, the three-piece were prevented from playing gigs and recording their tunes.
However now, over a year later, the band have reformed to deliver a driving new single in the form of She Doesn’t Care… and let us tell you, this thing is an absolute smack to the head.
On their hard-hitting new single She Doesn’t Care, Sydney based three-piece Final Gambit deliver an unapologetic slice of blistering rock.
Throughout the new track, Final Gambit stomp through a unique blend of bone-rattling percussion, crunching guitars, and booming bass lines to deliver a hard-hitting sound that belongs entirely to themselves.
Recorded at Housefox Studios by Black Rheno’s Ryan Miller, She Doesn’t Care is a frenzied and fast paced slice of rock music that you’ll be unable to rip your attention away from.
The track’s accompanying video sees the band belting out the new track, all while shifting through a seemingly endless rotation of outfits.
She Doesn’t Care is the first taste of the the band’s upcoming EP… and judging by what we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more great tunes courtesy of Final Gambit. For now, do yourself a favour and watch the new video above.
