Today Robin Pecknold, lead singer of Fleet Foxes, gave Instagram a shoutout looking for a new touring member.
If you’re handy with a string instrument of some sort and know how to hold a tune, this might be for you. Oh, unless you’re actually not that keen to hang out with one of the biggest, coolest, most chill bands in the world right now. Sounds shit anyway.
Hear that? That’s the sound of a million string instrumentalists grabbing their bows in the hopes to become the next Fleet Foxes touring member.
Fleet Foxes recently brought the house down (‘scuse the pun) at the Sydney Opera House for four consecutive days as part of Vivid 2017. If you missed the shows, you’re in luck because they live streamed the event. Check out the video here.
The band recently released their first music since 2011, two teaser singles for their upcoming record Crack-Up.

If you play a string instrument (violin / viola / cello) and sing great and want something to occasionally do for two years hmu EDIT: you’re all hired! Arcade Fire on blast FF now at 406 cello players and some guitar dudes. For real though you guys are all so amazing and overqualified! Mostly need additional singing with some simple string reduction arrangements here and there…
