Diddy legit looks like an excited – albeit slightly overwhelmed – kid in some recent pics of his time in the studio with Dr. Dre, and it’s pretty freaking cool.
And they say ‘never meet your heroes’. In Diddy’s aka Sean Combs’ case, his hero has more than lived up to his expectations, and by all accounts surpassed them.
Taking to Instagram yesterday, Diddy shared a few words of praise and thanks for his experience in the studio with Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. He wrote in the caption:“Yesterday, one of my biggest dreams finally came true.”
Adding “I remember the first time I heard @DrDre’s production. It gave me clear direction on the level of Producer that I wanted to be. Last night, I got the chance to work with this man and to see his genius as he coached me through vocals. He reminded me of myself, but with a different style and way more focused. I gotta step my focus up! lol But it was a great experience and I thank God for it.
I hope one day y’all get to have the same experience with someone that you always looked up to as a hero. LOVE 🖤🙏🏿💫⚡️✨”
The as yet untitled project between Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg was announced in August, fans have been long-awaiting the legendary producer’s follow-up to his 1999 album, 2001.
In a recent chat with HiphopDX Snoop shared “We’re cooking up a little something, I don’t wanna talk about it too much, but we’re back together again. It’s been 30 years since we worked on a record, and we’re doin’ something, we’re workin’ on something.”
The studio sessions highlights for the highly anticipated upcoming album include a post from Conway The Machine, with Dr. Dre at the mixing board and Kanye looking at his phone, while the Griselda rapper puffed on a blunt, Diddy’s recent pics, and a Twitter post shared by Eminem.
But our fav might just well be this pic of Diddy looking like a school kid in Dre’s studio.
