After two years, Groovin the Moo will be back in April 2022

The ever-growing 2022 festival calendar has a new addition: Groovin the Moo will be back in Maitland, Canberra, and Bendigo next year in April!

After two years of no Moo (thanks a lot, COVID), Australia’s beloved regional touring festival, Groovin the Moo, has announced that it will be back in April next year.

At this current stage, Groovin the Moo will only be held at three out of the usual six locations. With constantly changing restrictions that vastly vary across states, it’s quite the challenge to plan huge music festivals months in advance.

Hosted by Cattleyard Promotions, Groovin has been close to the hearts of avid festival punters since its conception in 2005, and after two years without the Moo, the news of its resurrection couldn’t be more exciting.

Cattleyard promoter Steve Halpin shared the following message:

“It’s been a long time between Moos and we are so genuinely happy to be back on the road to some of our local regions to reconnect with artists, community, suppliers, team and most importantly, with each other! We have missed you all terribly and thank you for your patience.”

Kicking off in NSW, Groovin the Moo will bless its longest standing home, Maitland Showground in Wonnarua Country, on April 23. Groovin will then bring the Moo to Canberra’s EPIC (Exhibition Park in Canberra, in case you were wondering) located on Ngambri and Ngunnawal Country on April 24.

The festival will wrap up at Bendigo’s Prince of Wales Showgrounds in Dja Dja Wurrung Country the following weekend (April 30).

If you’ve been holding on to your Groovin the Moo ticket from 2020, it will be valid for next year, so be sure to hold on just that little bit longer. The line-up will be dropped in January, and with previous years sporting acts the likes of Mallrat, Confidence Man, Ruby Fields, and Miss Blanks, you know it’ll be banging.
