House of the Dragon episode 6: Prepare yourselves for a major jump in the timeline, and a new cast.
Based on Fire & Blood by George R. R. Martin, writer of the much-loved Game of Thrones, we would be lying if we said we didn’t know a cast change was coming to his new series the House of the Dragon.
Less shock, more anticipation tbh for the new faces that are set to take over from episode 6 of House of the Dragon. Fast forward about ten years, following the wedding of Rhaenyra Targaryen to Laenor Velaryon, and you have two new main characters and a bit of aging up of a few of the supporting cast members.
Admittedly, this is tough news for fans of Milly Alcock, who have all been enjoying the scandalising relationship between her youthful self and her manipulative uncle.
Let’s take a look at the old vs new casting for The House of the Dragons.
Milly Alcock – Emma D’arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen
Emily Carey – Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower
Savannah Steyn – Nanna Blondell as Laena Velaryon
Theo Nate – John Macmillan as Laenor Velaryon
Ty Tennant (aka David Tennant’s son) as a grown-up Aegon Targaryen
