The highly anticipated Super Mario Bros. Movie has just dropped the first taste of what’s to come.
The Super Mario Bros Movie: Visit The Mushroom Kingdom has a strong cast, with the vocal talents of Chris Pratt as Mario and Jack Black as the bombastic Bowser, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, and Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong.
Chris Pratt has already attracted a lot of comments on Twitter (see below) for his interpretation of the classic little Italian guy, and Jack Black… enough said, it appears he can do anything.
The teaser shows Bowser on the warpath, looking for a powerful star. He takes on an army of adorable penguins with perfect bombastic brilliance and ends with Mario stumbling into the Mushroom Kingdom.
Mario fans have been keenly awaiting the trailer, with thousands of viewers flocking to the YouTube page upon Nintendo posting the link to the Livestream. The movie poster which was also released this week has also been hotly awaited.
Directors Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are veterans of Teen Titans GO! To The Movies, with writer Matthew Fogelwho has contributed to The Lego Movie 2 and Minions: The Rise Of Gru.
