Since forming in early 2014, Western Australian outfit Last Lions have established themselves as one of Australia’s most promising emerging rock acts. Having laid down support slots for such names as Tired Lion and Luca Brasi, the group are no strangers to the big stage.
Though now, with the release of their latest single Sleep Forever, the band look poised for truly big things. If you haven’t already been paying attention to this band, you definitely should be.

Throughout the new single, Last Lions belt through a blistering concoction of punk, indie rock and pop to deliver a sound uniquely their own. It’s simultaneously endearing and hard-hitting. With crunching guitars, bone-rattling percussion, and spirited vocal hooks, Sleep Forever will nest its way into your body and stay there for weeks.
Last Lions have been performing the track since their early days, playing gigs in their mates’ backyards. The song carries years of experience, and in those years, the band have built a truly captivating sound for themselves.
With only a handful of singles under their belt, these are still relatively early days for this WA band, but judging by everything we’ve heard so far, I think we can safely expect plenty more quality tunes from Last Lions.
